Cox Media Group has announced the promotion of Jimmy Farrell from Jacksonville Director of Sales to VP/Market Manager.

Farrell has been with Cox since 2003 starting as an Account Manager in Orlando rising to Local Sales Manager for Country “K92.3” WWKA and then General Sales Manager. He moved to Jacksonville as Director of Sales in March 2020. Prior to Cox, Farrell spent time as an Account Manager for WBZL-TV and Beasley Media in Miami.

Farrell fills the Market Manager position opened up by Katie Reid’s move to Bonneville Denver in March.

Cox Media Group (“CMG”) today announced the promotion of Jimmy Farrell as Vice President & Market Manager of Jacksonville Radio. Farrell will oversee all CMG Jacksonville stations, including WAPE, WOKV, WJGL, WEZI, and WXXJ.

Farrell joined CMG 19 years ago as an Account Executive in Orlando, launching an impressive career built on strong team development and driving revenue. His career continued to progress from Local Sales Manager at WWKA ‘K92 FM’ to General Sales Manager, and most recently as Director of Sales.

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Farrell graduated from the University of Miami and received a Bachelor of Science in the School of Communication.
