Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Detroit, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

Washington DC

DC 101 101.1 WWDC WashingtonPublic News/Talk 88.5 WAMU continues to hold a three share lead as it dips 11.6 to 11.1. Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP inches up 8.0 to 8.1. iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH rises 5.9 to 6.5. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR trends down 8.3 – 7.1 – 6.3. Atlantic Gateway Communications Christian AC 91.9 WGTS rebounds 5.0 to 5.7.

iHeartMedia Alternative “DC 101” WWDC trends up 2.8 – 3.4 – 3.8. Audacy Classic Hits “94.7 The Drive” WIAD slips 3.9 to 3.1.

Boston

101.7 The Bull WBWL Lynn BostonBeasley Classic Hits 105.7 WROR retakes the Boston lead up 7.2 to 7.4, while sister “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM is off 7.5 to 7.3. Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX rises 5.8 to 6.4. iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM holds at a 5.7 share. iHeart News 1030 WBZ trends up 4.3 – 4.6 – 5.3.

The Country battle in Boston tightens as Beasley’s 102.5 WKLB slides 4.9 – 4.2 – 3.6 and iHeartMedia’s “101.7 The Bull” WBWL rises 2.4 to 3.3. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes that is the highest share in the history of the 101.7 signal.

Seattle/Tacoma

710 ESPN Seattle Sports KIROBonneville’s “Seattle Sports 710” KIRO uses the double whammy of the Mariners playoff push and the start of the Seahawks season to trend up 5.8 – 6.2 – 7.0. Huff notes it is the largest share for the signal since Fall 2002 and first time leading the Seattle market since Fall 2003 when it held the News/Talk format now on 97.3 KIRO-FM.

iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 The Jet” KJEB places second up 5.7 – 6.6 – 6.7. 97.3 KIRO-FM is up 6.1 to 6.6. Audacy Soft AC “94.1 The Sound” KSWD falls 6.3 to 5.0. AAA 90.3 KEXP rises 4.0 to 4.8.

Audacy Classic Hip Hop “Hot 103.7” KHTP rises 3.1 to 3.7. iHeartMedia Sports 93.3 KJR-FM rises .8 to 1.3.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale

91.3 WLRN Miami 101.9 West Palm BeachCox Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ slips 8.8 – 8.5 – 8.3. Cox Adult R&B “Hot 105” WHQT dips 9.3 – 8.5 – 7.7. SBS Spanish Tropical “El Zol 106.7” WXDJ is up 6.4 to 6.5. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” WAMR holds at a 5.9. Audacy AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF rises 5.5 to 5.7.

Public News/Talk 91.3 WLRN trends up 2.6 – 2.9 – 3.4. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “103.5 The Beat” WMIB is up 2.2 – 2.5 – 3.1. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “Big 105.9” WBGG-FM is off 3.0 – 2.8 – 2.4.

In its final monthly with Sports, Audacy’s “790 The Ticket” WAXY rises 0.2 to 0.4. Their other Sports signal, 560 WQAM rises 0.5 to 0.9.

Detroit

104.3 WOMC Detroit Stephen Clark WXYZAudacy Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC rises 6.5 to 7.5 to retake the Motor City lead. Beasley Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX is up 6.8 to 7.0. iHeartMedia Adult R&B “Mix 92.3” WMXD jumps up 5.5 to 6.4. Audacy Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM is up 5.3 to 5.6 with its stream adding an additional 1.9 share. iHeartMedia AC 100.3 WNIC is off 5.9 to 5.5.

After surging 5.0 to 7.9 last month, iHeartMedia Hip Hop 97.9 WJLB slips back down to a 5.1 share. Cumulus’ “New Country 93.1” WDRQ rises 2.5 – 2.7 – 3.4.

Phoenix

iHeartMedia AC “99.9 KEZ” KESZ rises 6.7 to 7.6. Public News/Talk 91.5 KJZZ-FM surges up 5.4 – 6.2 – 7.3 for a new station record high. Hubbard Classic Rock 100.7 KSLX takes sole possession of third holding at a 5.3 share. Desert Mountain Broadcasting Oldies “94.9/95.1 The Wow Factor” KOAI dips 5.3 to 4.6. iHeartMedia Variety Hits “95.5 The Mountain” KYOT holds at a 4.5.

Audacy Country 107.9 KMLE slides 5.6 – 4.3 – 3.9. Sierra H Broadcasting Rhythmic AC “Mega 104.3” KAJM rises 1.8 to 2.3.

Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO trends down 7.6 – 6.8 – 5.7. Audacy Classic Rock “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT is up 5.0 to 5.6. iHeartMedia AAA 97.3 KBCO trends up 3.7 – 4.5 – 5.4 for its highest share since January 2019.

Bonneville Sports “104.3 The Fan” KKFN trends up 2.6 – 2.9 – 3.3. iHeartMedia Alternative “Channel 93.3” KTCL is down 4.5 – 4.0 – 3.3.

Baltimore

Today's 101.9 WLIF BaltimoreAudacy AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF surges up 8.1 to 9.5 to take an over two share lead. Radio One Adult R&B “Magic 95.9” WWIN-FM is down 8.5 to 7.4. iHeartMedia Variety Hits “102.7 Jack-FM” WQSR dips 7.5 to 6.8, while sister Country 93.1 WPOC rises 5.6 to 6.1. Radio One Hip Hop “92Q” WERQ holds at a 4.9 share.

Audacy Sports “105.7 The Fan” WJZ-FM rises 3.4 – 4.1 – 4.2. Shamrock Classic Rock “100.7 The Bay” WZBA is up 2.8 to 3.6.

St. Louis

105.7 The Point KPNT St. Louis Rizzuto LuxHubbard Alternative “105.7 The Point” KPNT slips 10.0 to 9.2 to hold the Gateway City lead for the second straight month. Sister Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE is up slightly 8.4 to 8.6 and their Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH holds onto third 8.3 to 8.1. Audacy Adult R&B “96.3 The Lou” WFUN-FM holds onto fourth 6.8 to 6.6, while News/Talk 1120/98.7 KMOX jumps up 4.9 to 6.5.

Audacy AC 102.5 KEZK continues its four-month slide 7.6 – 6.6 – 5.8 – 5.2.

Sister Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE is up slightly 8.4 to 8.6 and their Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH holds onto third 8.3 to 8.1. Audacy Adult R&B “96.3 The Lou” WFUN-FM holds onto fourth 6.8 to 6.6, while News/Talk 1120/98.7 KMOX jumps up 4.9 to 6.5.

Audacy AC 102.5 KEZK continues its four-month slide 7.6 – 6.6 – 5.8 – 5.2.
