The “Motor City Rocks 2023” vinyl album will include Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), The Reefermen, HALLOWEEN, Cadillac Kidz, Adrenalin, Tino G’s Dumpster Machine, Dave Edwards & The Look, plus a new version of ‘Common Ground’ from Rhythm Corps.  The album also features a live version of Ted Nugent’s “Queen of the Forest” recorded live at Cobo Hall on New Year’s Eve in 1988.

“There is no shortage of great rock bands in the Motor City. We released an album last year and had such a great response from our listeners and demand from record stores we thought, let’s do it again. The names on this album are legendary,” said Doug Podell, PM Drive host for 106.7 WLLZ Detroit’s Wheels.

“Detroit has such a rich rock n’ roll history and we’re proud to once again showcase some of the best the Motor City has to offer,” said Casey Krukowski, Program Director for 106.7 WLLZ Detroit’s Wheels.

In addition, a showcase concert featuring all the bands featured on the album is scheduled in Detroit for October 6 at Cadieux Café, October 7 at St. Andrews Hall and October 21 at Harpos. For more information on the showcase concert and album, visit the station’s website.
