Donze Communications’ “Classic Rock 93.1″ KBDZ Perryville MO is expanding its programming to St. Louis’ northwestern suburbs as it has begun simulcasting on East Central Broadcasting’s 101.7 KWUL-FM Elsberry MO.
KBDZ covers areas south of St. Louis. KWUL-FM had been running a mix of Classic Rock and Americana as “K-Wulf“. Its programming remains on 920 KWUL/101.5 K268CT St. Louis.
Program Director Randy Raley said, “In the last year, we have expanded our listener base exponentially with the additions of St. Louis legends Katy Kruze, Radio Rich Dalton, Ted Habek and Michelle Holliday. Our next upgrade to the station is expanding our signal, that’s the thing our listeners wanted most. This expansion allows us to bring the best classic rock to even more fans, delivering the same quality music and legendary artists that define our station. While most corporate radio stations are slashing budgets, we have live voices on in all dayparts including overnights. Classic Rock 93.1, now on 101.7 FM, means more access to the music that guides your day, whether you’re on the road, at work, or just listening. KBDZ is different as we don’t play the same 300 songs every day. We play music from the 60s to the Foo Fighters in a great mix.”

Yes, it’s about time! I grew up in rural Ste Genevieve County. I moved to Warren County after a couple of years at Mineral Area Community College, and I work in St Louis County. K wolf was the best thing to happen I love the Rock and Americana and Katie cruz! The problem was I would lose the station as soon as I crossed the bridge on 364. As soon as I would lose it. I would turn it to 93.1 with Randy Raley. This is a huge win for us listeners! Thank you for playing music more than talking, and commercials! I will miss some of my americana, what I call Outlaw country, but hey that’s what Pandora is for! Again we the people thank you, thank you thank you thank you!
