Cumulus Media is making changes at Classic Country “95.5 Nash Icon” WSM-FM Nashville.
The station is now running jockless and has dropped the “Nash Icon” branding for just “95.5 WSM“. Some promos are airing noting that “change is coming soon” featuring unidentified voices of Compass Media’s syndicated morning hosts Big D & Bubba, who are currently heard in mornings on Cumulus’ “103.3 Country” WKDF.
The current weekday lineup of morning host Marty McFly, midday host Lisa Manning, and afternoon host Stewart James have exited WSM-FM. Mcfly and James previously hosted mornings at WKDF before McFly moved to WSM-FM in 2014. James would rejoin the company as afternoon host in 2019. Manning joined WSM-FM in 2011 and spent time in afternoons and mornings before settling in middays. All three were also heard in those dayparts on Westwood One’s national “Nash Icon” feed.
Along with Big D & Bubba moving to WSM-FM, Country Aircheck reports that WKDF afternoon host Tyler Reese will also move over to WSM-FM. At WKDF, mornings are currently listed as jockless with Program Director Travis Daily taking over afternoons. Amy Paige will remain in middays on WKDF with “Country Nights Live with Bev Rainey” and “The Overnight Ride with Justin Franiak” in nights and overnights.
