Hubbard’s “New Country 103.1” WIRK Indiantown/West Palm Beach has announced it has renewed the contracts of morning hosts Tim Leary and Chelsea Eaton.
Leary joined WIRK in June 2019 after a year in mornings at sister “98.9 The Bull” KNUC Seattle. He previously spent seven years at “Bob 106.9” WUBB Savannah GA and has also worked at 99.5 WGAR Cleveland, 98.1 WCTK Providence RI, and 94.5 KUUB Reno during his career. Eaton has spent her entire career at WIRK starting as morning co-host in 2012 before moving to middays in 2016 until moving back to mornings with Leary’s arrival.
WIRK and WUBE-FM Cincinnati Brand & Content Director Grover Collins said, “Tim and Chelsea are the heartbeat of New Country 103.1. Their connection with the audience is real, authentic, and incredibly rare in today’s landscape. We’re fired up to have them locked in for the future as they represent exactly what great radio is all about.”
Market President Elizabeth Hanna commented, “We’re thrilled to continue waking up our New Country 103.1 audience each morning with the Tim and Chelsea show, a show that has become such an important part of the West Palm Beach community. This show’s chemistry, connection, and commitment to the audience and our advertisers is truly special, and we’re excited to extend our partnership and build on that momentum for years to come.”
Leary added, “It’s truly amazing to be a part of the Hubbard family! Ginny, David, Greg, Elizabeth, and Grover have always been in mine and Chelsea’s corner and so supportive. Love doing the show every morning with Chels, and being able to do what I love with the best listeners anyone could hope for.”
Eaton followed, “I’m incredibly grateful to continue being part of a station that’s so deeply rooted in our community. It’s an honor to keep doing a show I love while connecting our listeners not only to the country music they love, but also to the people, events, and stories that make our local community so special. I’m excited for what’s ahead and thankful for the opportunity to keep serving our listeners every morning.”
