Days before she was to step down from her daily 9-11am show on Jacobs Media Corporation News/Talk 550 WDUN Gainesville/102.9 WDUN-FM Clarkesville GA, Martha Zoller passed away at the age of 67 after a sudden illness.
Zoller announced on June 11 that she was to step down from “The Martha Zoller Show” on Friday, June 26, while continuing to remain with the station as senior political analyst as well as hosting a daily minute-long commentary. Zoller had also worked at WDUN since 2019 after a previous run from 1994 to 2009. She ran for Congress in 2012 and served on the Georgia State Board of Education.
Jacobs Media Corporation owner Jay Jacobs said, “Martha Zoller was a light. She was one of the most consequential voices in the history of WDUN and one of the most respected communicators our community has ever known. I have personally lost a dear friend and our WDUN family is shocked and grieving a treasured colleague and friend. To say we will miss Martha feels wholly insufficient. Her presence, friendship, wisdom and voice were woven into the fabric of WDUN and North Georgia. The loss we feel today is profound.”
