After 22 years in mornings, Nick ‘Cosmo’ Schudel is departing the “Cosmo & Kat” morning show at Zimmer Radio CHR “Y107” 106.9 KTXY Columbia MO after next week.

Cosmo joined KTXY in September 2004 after stints at crosstown CHR “Q106.1” KOQL, WZOK Rockford IL and stations in Sedalia MO and Steamboat Springs CO. He is currently teamed with his wife Kat Schudel, who will be remaining with the station, although he noted that her future status will be addressed next week.

In making the announcement, he said “It’s time. Those are a couple words that have been bouncing in my head for a little while now and Kat after a lot of prayer, a lot of discussion, some more prayer, some reflection, I know those two words ring true. It’s time for me to close one of the greatest chapters in my life.”
