Bob & Sheri To Move From Syndication To New Distribution Model

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
September 15, 2026

Sheri Lynch BobNow Media’s Bob & Sheri Show will end syndication at the end of 2026 moving to a direct to consumer distribution model.

In an episode of the show’s “Oddcast” podcast on Monday, host Sheri Lynch and Director of Syndication Tony Garcia told listeners that they will move the show to a subscription model. Garcia separately commented, “It was a difficult decision to make. We were among the first shows to syndicate successfully, the first AC morning show, and the first to feature a woman in the lead role. We have a dedicated lineup of affiliates–some who have been with us for three decades; Sheri and I have determined the time is right for us to bow out. We thank our legacy and our more recent affiliates for their support.”

Lynch said, “We have been closely following the data from Edison Research, Tom Webster at Sounds Profitable, as well as the research projects we’ve commissioned with Fred and Paul Jacobs, and determined this is the right time to become a direct-to-consumer brand. We have had an amazing run. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting so many of our listeners in person. We’re excited about bringing the show directly to them, when and where they want to listen. We will miss Radio, but we’re incredibly excited about the new chapter ahead.”

The first move will begin this week in their home market of Charlotte where the show will exit Beasley Media Group Classic Hits “K104.7” WKQC following their show on Friday, September 18 as Beasley moves the Maney & LauRen show from soon-to-be defunct CHR “Kiss 95.1” WNKS.

Lynch and Garcia told their listeners that their advertising revenue has declined by 20-40% since launching Now Media to operate the show in 2017. She stated that while they are working on a solution to allow listeners to continue to listen in their car, “The reality is our time as radio broadcasters is drawing to an end.” She followed, “Thinking about the future, we’re not seeing that as a viable distribution channel for our content.” Garcia added, “While we are nostalgic for the good old days, the good old days don’t come back. It’s up to us to figure out the next step forward is. But when we bet on ourselves, we usually do ok.”

Bob & Sheri launched on then AC “Sunny 107.9” WBT-FM Charlotte in 1992 when Sheri Lynch was brought on as Bob Lacey’s morning co-host. The station rebranded as “Hits 107.9” in 1996 and “107.9 The Link” WLNK in 1997. After being dropped from WLNK in April 2021, the show moved to WKQC the following month. Lacey retired from the show in January 2025. The show has been syndicated since 1996.
