Lotus Communications News “Northwest Newsradio” 1000 KNWN Seattle/97.7 KNWN-FM Oakville WA has eliminated its midday local news blocks.
The station is now carrying “Bloomberg’s Balance of Power” in the 10am hour and “Bloomberg Businessweek Daily” in the 11am hour followed by the Dave Ramsey Show from 12-2pm. Brian Calvert and Denise Whitaker will continue to anchor mornings from 6-10am. Previous midday anchor Scott Carry moves to afternoons alongside Aaron Wright from 2-7pm succeeding Marina Rockinger. The station had already been airing Bloomberg programming at night.
Carty posted, “One consistent element of radio is change. The industry is changing in all aspects, including ratings and revenue. So, this begins a new and different week for me as I move to the afternoon show, 2 to 6 PM. I hope you’ll listen so we can keep our jobs!”
KNWN ranked fifteenth with a 3.2 share in the August 2026 Nielsen Audio ratings.
