Arkansas Business reports that “103.9 The Game” KCJF Earle/Jonesboro, AR will drop its Sports/Active Rock hybrid format when it goes under new management on July 1.
MOR Media, owners of 1490 KDRS and “107.1 Jack-FM” KDRS-FM Paragould will be acquiring KCJF from Catherine Joanna Flinn in a deal not yet filed with the FCC. KCJF currently programs locally originated Sports programming from 7am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm daily along with St. Louis Cardinals play-by-play. The rest of the day features Active Rock.
With MOR Media President Dina Mason stating that none of the employees of KCJF will be retained and that the company has no immediate plans on hiring anybody new we’d expect a simulcast of KDRS-FM to come to KCJF. 103.9 rimshots Jonesboro from the south, while 107.1 does the same from the north.
