EMF Broadcasting has acquired three stations from Family Stations for $655,000.
The three stations are 88.1 WFRW Webster, NY, 88.3 KIFR Alice, TX, and 89.1 KXBC Garberville, CA.
WFRW is a Class B1 that rimshots the Rochester market. KIFR is a C3 serving the area west of Corpus Christi and KXBC is a C1 that covers the Northern California coast south of Eureka. As part of the sale agreement Family Stations will retain the rights to use the KIFR and WFRW call letters.
It was reported last month that Family Radio was moving quickly to sell of some of its remaining broadcast interests. Family Radio is also shutting down its WYFR Shortwave service.
