Shortly after the launch of the station as “92.1 The Ticket“, WQTX changed its branding to “The Team“.
Why the change? CBS Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM Detroit has the Michigan trademark for the Ticket name. No changes to the new programming format with the change in name from Ticket to Team.
Original Report 1/13: Midwest has officially announced the coming launch of “92.1 The Ticket” on Monday, January 19.
WQTX will feature nine hours of local programming daily along with Dan Patrick and other Fox Sports Radio programming. The Ticket will also carry Lansing Lugnuts baseball, University of Michigan basketball and football, and high school sports.
