NCA, Inc AC “Lite 96.9” WRSA-FM Huntsville, AL is no more as the station rebranded as “Mix 96.9” on Sunday evening.

Now positioning as “The Best Mix Of The 80s, 90s and More”, the station is positioning itself between Southern Stone AC “Star 99” WAHR and iHeartMedia Classic Hits “100.3 The River” WQRV.

In explaining the change to AL.com, General Manager John Malone stated “When listeners hear the word ‘Lite,’ they think older music, music their mother or grandmother would listen to. But our music has evolved and the better descriptor is ‘Mix'”. WRSA will run jockless for two weeks before returning its current on-air lineup on January 26.
