Greg Strassel Named Hubbard SVP/Programming

Hubbard Radio Greg Strassel Vice President Programming WLOLFormer iHeartMedia and CBS Radio programming executive Greg Strassel is joining Hubbard Radio as Senior Vice President of Programming.

In his new position, which will be based in Minneapolis, Strassel will work with current SVP/Programming Greg Solk to over seeing brand and content strategies for Hubbard’s stations in Chicago, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington DC.

Strassel spent fifteen years at CBS Radio, mostly programming stations at its Boston cluster and eventually rising to Senior VP of Programming for the entire company. After exiting CBS in September 2013 he spent a year at Clear Channel as SVP/Programming before exiting last December. This marks a return to Minneapolis for Strassel as he was also the Program Director of Emmis CHR 99.5 WLOL prior to its 1992 sale to Minnesota Public Radio.

Hubbard Radio today announced that veteran programming executive, Greg Strassell, will join the company as SVP/Programming. Strassell will work in partnership with current SVP/Programming, Greg Solk, to lead the programming, brand and content strategies for Hubbard Radio’s 28 radio stations in its seven largest markets.

Most recently Strassell was the SVP Strategic Services, National Programming Platforms for iHeartRadio. Prior to his position at iHeartRadio, Strassell spent ten years as SVP Programming for CBS Radio.

Strassell will start his new position on June 15, 2015 and will be based in Minneapolis/Saint Paul.
