Alpha Media Sports “750/102.9 The Game” KXTG Portland/K275CH Gresham OR has cut its local afternoon show hosted by Justin Myers and DeVon Pouncey.
Myers and Pouncey were first teamed at KXTG in June when they were paired for the 9am-12pm show. Myers had previously co-hosted afternoons with Noah ‘Chop’ Homsley from February through June until the brief tenure of Dino Costa in that daypart. Homsley, who serves as Assistant Program Director at KXTG, had been filling in again in afternoons until this week.
The station is now going with CBS Sports Radio programming in both dayparts. Jim Rome returns to KXTG for 9am-12pm after being dropped from the daypart for KIRO Seattle’s Brock & Salk at the start of 2017. Bill Reiter’s “Reiter Than You” is added for 3-6pm. Fox Sports Radio’s Dan Patrick Show remains in mornings from 6-9am, and “The Bald Faced Truth” with John Canzano stays in the 12-3 slot as the station’s only locally originating daily show.
