The move resurrects the format and branding that had been on the station from 1987 until 2018. In January 2018, the company moved “Sunny” and the WGSY call letters to 1460 Phenix City/94.7 W234BX Highland Pines GA and launched “Hot 100.1” after the company sold Hip Hop “98.3 The Beat” WBFA to RCG Media. “Sunny 94.7” would evolve to Hot AC and then rebrand as “Mix 94.7” in October 2019.
