The FCC has sent collection notices to a number of groups who defaulted on their winning bids in previous auctions.
- Nassau Broadcasting owes the $563,960 remaining on its $869,300 bid from the 2004 Auction 37 for 93.7 Jefferson NH.
- Ace Radio Corporation owes $159,250 remaining on its $221,130 bid from the 2006 Auction 62 for an allocation in Mertzon TX.
- Bramah Broadcasting, LLC owes $89,100 remaining on its $111,900 bid from the 2007 Auction 70 for 103.9 in Bordelonville LA.
- Efrain O. Saille owes the interim $3,965 debt for defaults on the 2013 Auction 94 winning bids for 100.7 Cotulla and 106.3 Presido TX.
They all have 30 days to pay their owed debt without accrued interest added. If not paid within 90 days, a penalty of 6 percent will be added to debt unpaid and it will be refered to the United States Treasury or Department of Justice for further collection action and administrative charges.
The FCC has opened a comment period for a petition by 7430 Technologies LLC to modify the FM Table of Allocations to add a Class C2 on 103.3 in Wharton TX southwest of Houston.
MyBridge Radio’s applications for new CP’s on 90.1 Norfolk and 89.9 Schuyler NE have been granted after the FCC rejected Triangle Access Broadcasting’s informal objection station that the two applications submitted in the 2021 non-comm filing window were in violation of the Inconsistent Applications Rule and the Schuyler application should have been dismissed. The FCC has rejected the premise stating that the rule is no longer applicable as it only was used when all mutually exclusive applications were resolved through comparative hearings.
Solid Rock Foundation’s application for 90.7 Sunray TX was also granted against a similar objection by Triangle Access Broadcasting as it and a previously granted CP for what is now 88.5 KZWD Stinnett were in violation of the Inconsistent Applications Rule.
