Following the move of Ramona Halloway to cluster Community Affairs Director, Radio One Hot AC “Mix 107.9” WLNK Charlotte has revamped its morning show as “The Morning Mix with Matt Harris & Friends”.

Harris, who has been paired with Halloway at WLNK since 2001, had a long run in afternoons until moving to mornings when “107.9 The Link” relaunched as “Mix 107.9” in April 2021. “Matt & Ramona” first worked together as part of the morning show at WNCI Columbus and then first teamed as a duo in mornings at “Z104” WNVZ Norfolk in 2000 before moving to WLNK in March 2001. During their tenure in afternoons, the show was previously syndicated by former station owner Greater Media.

Taking on expanded roles on the morning show are recent additions Liz Drabick and ‘Producer JD’ Hanks. Drabick began her career at WLNK as an intern in 2001 and would then spend most of her career in the Baltimore/Washington area as a Sports Anchor for 980 WTEM and “106.7 The Fan” WJFK-FM and as a traffic reporter for multiple stations in the region. Hanks joined WLNK as morning show producer and Imaging Director in February after previously holding a similar role at Townsquare Media Hot AC “Mix 106” KCIX Boise from 2015-18 and working for production agencies since. He also has served as Operations Director for “Way-FM” in Charleston SC and Portland OR.

Halloway will make regular appearances on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10am and continue hosting two weekly podcasts with Harris.
