Cox Media Group Hot AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM Tampa is adding former Bert Show co-host Abby Murphy to co-host mornings with Scott Tavlin starting Monday, February 9.
The move marks a return to Cox for Murphy, who worked in the Jacksonville cluster from 2019 until joining the Atlanta based syndicated show in June 2023. During her time in Jacksonville, Murphy served as social media director for the cluster, hosted mornings on Soft AC “Easy 102.9” WEZI and tracked nights on CHR 95.1 WAPE. Murphy began her career at the University of Florida where she hosted mornings on CHR “95.3 GHQ” and weekends on Country “103.7 The Gator” WRUF-FM.
Tavlin has anchored mornings at WWRM since October 2023 originally paired with Danielle McBroom. Tavlin has been with Cox Tampa for his entire career starting in promotions in 2018 and then weekend host at CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI and the Orlando duo of Country “K92.3” WWKA and CHR “Power 95.3” WPYO before rising to morning show producer and midday host at WPOI in February 2021. Along with a stint tracking nights at WWKA, he then rose to morning host at WPOI until its flip to R&B and his move to WWRM.
