FCC Actions
The FCC has approved a Counterproposal For Rulemaking proposed by SSR Communications and the co-owned duo of Estrella Broadcasting and Southwest Broadcasting. The filing saw Estrella Broadcasting applies to relocate 92.5 KXQX Tusayan AZ to Big Water UT, while upgrading from a Class A to C2 with 3.2kW/303m where it will cover the Page AZ area, Southwest Broadcasting’s “Rewind 93.3” KXUT Page applies to shift to 93.1 in Orderville UT increasing from a Class C2 to C1 with 17kW/574m rimshotting the St. George and Cedar City areas, and a vacant allotment proposed by SSR for a Class C3 on 93.1 Enterprise UT moved to 100.9.
An Order To Pay or Show Cause was issued to Southwest Missouri Media for for failure
to pay $6,754.80 in delinquent regulatory fees and associated interest, administrative costs, and penalties owed for 100.9 KBOQ Lima MT and the cancelled 580 KANA Anaconda and 100.7 K264CZ Butte MT from 2021 through 2023.
License Cancellations
The FCC has cancelled Azteca Broadcasting Corporation’s 1340 KXEQ Reno NV. KXEQ filed a Silent STA in September 2024 and never filed a resumption of operation or responded to an FCC inquiry regarding its status.
