JD Garfield is leaving the Program Director/midday host position at Impact Radio Group Rhythmic CHR “Wild 101.1” KWYD Parma/Boise ID to join Alpha Media CHR 99.7 WDJX Louisville.
Garfield will fill the Program Director/Afternoon host position vacated in February by Jeremy ‘Otis” Maher’s move to iHeartMedia Country “94.9 The Bull” WUBL Atlanta. Garfield has programmed KWYD since early 2015. He previously has programmed in Bloomington IL, Madison WI, and Springfield MO.
Alpha Media, Louisville names JD Garfield as Program Director of WDJX. JD will also host Afternoon Drive.
JD is a 20-year radio vet with most of his time being spent in the Midwest. His career started in the Country format but he has since spent time in Rock, Alternative, Classic Rock, CHR, R/CHR and AC. Previously, he served as PD of WJQM in Madison, Wisconsin, and Operations Manager for KQRA and KOSP in Springfield, Missouri. JD comes to Alpha most recently from KWYD in Boise, Idaho.
