News/Talk 100.1 WNIR Kent/Akron OH has been granted its Petition For Reconsiderations against two subsidiaries of Salem Media to relocate two translators from Angola IN and Battle Creek MI respectively to 99.9 and 100.3 in Cleveland where they were to rebroadcast Conservative Talk " 1420 The Answer " WHK and Christian Preaching " 1220 The Word " WHKW. Media-Com petitioned that the new translators would create interference for its listeners within their contours. Salem purchased 99.9 W260CY (then 99.1 W256CO Angola) and 100.3 W262CY (originally 100.5 W263CS Battle Creek) from Friends of Christian Radio for $50,000 each last year. AM Changes Midwest Television News/Talk 760 KFMB San Diego applies to drop nighttime power from 50kW to 10kW utilizing its current three tower array. KFMB will continue to operate with 5kW daytime as one of the few stations that run higher power at night than during the day. FM Changes Sebago Broadcasting Variety Hits 96.5 WCTG Chincoteague VA applies to cross over the Maryland state-line into they Salisbury/Ocean City market. WCTG would change city-of-license to Eden MD with 3.9kW/100m . Also in the Salisbury/Ocean City market, Seaford Media’s Variety Hits " 101.1 Jack-FM " WSUX-FM Snow Hill MD applies to move to 94.5 with 6kW/100m . Auburn Network's Classic Hits “ Wings 94.3 ” WGZZ Waverly AL seeks to change tower sites moving slightly south with 2.6kW/154.6m . VCY America's 89.7 KVCI Montezuma IA applies to upgrade from a Class A to C1 with 100kW/151m where it will rimshot DesMoines from the southeast. Canton Seventh-Day Adventist Church's CP for 98.7 Asbury/Dubuque IA applies for a new tower location with 4.9kW/110m . With its CP set to expire next month, North Texas Radio Group's CP for 98.9 Crowell TX applies to drop from a Class C3 to Class A with 100w/36m . Libertad en Cristo Ministries's 101.5 KOCD Okeene OK looks to drop from a Class C2 to Class A with 300w/15m . After its previous CP expired unbuilt, Positive Alternative Radio reapplies to upgrade 89.3 WJYA Emporia VA from a Class A to Class C2 with 20kW/159m . Cultural Energy's Community 90.1 KCEI Red River/Taos NM applies to lower power and raise antenna height requiring a class change from C1 to C2 with 1kW/757m. Deletions In addition to a red light delinquency letter, the FCC has deleted the license of Keyboard Broadcasting Communication's 1260 WCSA Ripley MS for failing to prosecute a 2011 FCC inquiry to whether the station operated between 1997 and 2004. Translator Changes With a filing freeze starting on Wednesday ahead of the July 26 opening of the new filing window for AM stations, scores of modification applications were filed to get in ahead of the filing window.
