With Capcity Communications taking over the LMA of 102.1 WKYL Lawrenceburg KY from Eastern Kentucky University ahead of its $250,000 purchase of the station, the company has flipped the station from Classical “WEKU Classical” to Classic Hits “Passport Radio“.
WKYL joins in a simulcast of 1490 WKYW/93.5 W228CL and 103.7 WFRT-FM Frankfort although only the 102.1 and 103.7 signals are now being promoted. In a Facebook comment, the station notes that WKYW/W228CL will continue with the programming “for now”.
