iHeartMedia launched Classic Hip-Hop “Throwback 93.3” W227CX North Palm Beach/WRLX-HD2 West Palm Beach at 4pm today.
Launching with 10,000 songs commercial-free, the new format replaces Country “Wave 93.3“, a localized version of co-owned “Wave 92.7” WAVW Stuart/Port St. Lucie. It becomes the second Classic Hip-Hop translator in the market joining Black Media Works’ “Yo 107.1” W296AW Magnolia Park/WLLY-HD3.
In the March 2020 Nielsen Audio ratings, the Country format on 93.3 registered a 0.6 share, well behind Hubbard’s 103.1 WIRK at a 2.7. “Yo 107.1” does not subscribe to Nielsen and did not appear in the publicly available ratings.
