After five years with the network, Will Cain is set to depart ESPN Radio to join Fox News Channel.
Cain joined ESPN in 2015 after stints at Fox News and The Blaze. He was promoted to host the national 3-6pm Eastern show at the start of 2018 after originally tabbed to become Ryen Russillo’s co-host. He also was a contributor to ESPN’s First Take during his time with the network. The Washington Post reports that Cain sought to take over ESPN Radio’s morning show before deciding to jump to Fox News.
The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand, who first reported on Cain’s impending departure on Monday, also adds that potential lineup changes at ESPN Radio may also include Trey Wingo leaving the morning show he co-hosts with Mike Golic and Dan Le Batard leaving the company altogether.
