Three of the stations formerly owned by Randy Wachter’s Twenty-One Sound Communications in St. Louis’ western suburbs have new buyers. Dennis Wallace, the court appointed receiver of the company since 2016, will sell Americana “K-Wulf” 93.3 KLUQ Hermann and 101.7 KWUL Elsberry, and Silent 104.3 KVMO Vandalia MO to Lewis Eckelcamp’s East Central Broadcasting for $2500 in management fees owned to Wallace and forgiveness of the debt owed by Wachter’s companies up to $3 million. East Central has been operating the stations as well as 101.7 KQXQ Cuba MS via LMA since June 2017. The company also owns Sports “ESPN 107.3” KLPW-FM Steelville/Rolla MO and Americana 1220 KLPW/92.7 K224EZ Union MO.
Alexandra Communications sells AC “Star 92.7” KSQB and Country “The Coyote” 1230 KYQT/99.1 K256DC Burns OR to KJDY LLC for $60,000.
Entravision sells Spanish Oldies “José 1570” KCVR Lodi/Stockton CA to Punjabi American Media for $250,000. Punjabi American Media will also lease KCVR’s transmitter site from Entravision from closing through the end of 2021 for $2500 per month.
Kevin Cox is acquiring the 55% of Radio Cleveland Inc. and its Hip Hop “Power 106.5” WAID Clarksdale MS he doesn’t own. Cox will pay Greg Shurden $5000 for his 10 percent stake and Clint Webster $65,000 for his 45% stake of the company. Both Shurden and Webster will also receive a 3% annum from January 1, 2020 until closing. Radio Cleveland owns four other stations that were not included in this filing.
Robert Phillips II sells Christian/Country 1490 WPAK Farmville VA and its CP for 99.9 W260DJ Farmville to Emory Bearden’s White Pine Enterprises for $501. Bearden’s Apple Enterprise Inc. owns 100.5 WEBI-LP Woodlawn VA, but makes no mention of divesting the LPFM as required in the filing.
Providence Educational Foundation donates the license and assets of 90.7 KPEF White Castle LA to Port Allen Educational Foundation. PAEF will then pay $40,000 to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for the station’s “tower license”. The station will be required to change call letters at closing and will shift from simulcasting the donee’s “Life Songs” 89.1 WBSN-FM New Orleans to PAEF’s “Sound Radio” 89.7 WPAE Centreville MS/91.5 KPAE Erwinville LA.
Sale Dismissals
Rich Broadcasting’s 2018 sale of 1230 KRXK Rexburg ID to Ted Austin’s Madison Radio Partners for the assumption of $150,000 of the $800,000 in debt owed by the seller to Pacific Empire Radio Corporation was dismissed by the FCC for failing to comply with section 73.3568 of the Commission’s rules. The rule states that failure to prosecute an application, or failure to respond to official correspondence or request for additional information, will be cause for dismissal.
