Cumulus Media Sports “104.5 The Zone” WGFX Gallatin/Nashville TN has debuted a revamped programming schedule.
“The Big 6” host Jason Martin will move from the 6pm hour to mornings to take over the “Wake Up Zone”, which will lose an hour to run from 6-9am. Jonathan Hutton, Chad Withrow, and Paul Kuharsky’s “Midday 180” will move from 10am-2pm to 9am-1pm. A new show from 1-3pm will feature former morning co-host Blaine Bishop and former afternoon co-host Mickey Ryan. Bishop, a former Safety for the Tennessee Titans, will also contribute to WGFX’s morning and afternoon shows during the NFL season.
“3HL” will continue in the 3-6pm slot hosted by Brent Dougherty and Dawn Davenport. A best-of the “Midday 180” will air in the 6-7pm hour.
Exiting the station with the changes are morning co-hosts Mark Howard and Kevin Ingram. Howard and Ingram were both part of the morning show at WGFX through multiple incarnations since 2004.
The lineup changes at WGFX follow the the addition of Paul Mason as new Program Director in April and last week’s promotion of morning show producer Jonathan Shaffer to Assistant Program Director.
CUMULUS MEDIA announces that Sports Talk radio station 104.5 The Zone/WGFX-FM in Nashville, TN, rolls out a new programming lineup this week that will give Nashville sports fans more of what they love. The lineup will deliver four live and local shows Monday through Friday.
The new schedule kicks off weekdays with news and information on “The Wake-Up Zone” from 6:00am-9:00am, hosted by Jason Martin, followed by “Midday 180” from 9:00am-1:00pm (previously 10:00am-2:00pm) with hosts Jonathan Hutton, Chad Withrow and Paul Kuharsky. Blaine Bishop moves from Mornings to co-host an all-new 1:00pm-3:00pm show, “Blaine & Mickey”, with Mickey Ryan, who transitions from his previous hosting duties on “3HL”, now hosted by Brent Dougherty and Dawn Davenport from 3:00pm-6:00pm. The “Midday 180” returns from 6:00pm-7:00pm for the “180 at 6”. Blaine Bishop, a former all-pro safety for the Tennessee Titans, will also be a regular contributor on 104.5 The Zone’s morning and afternoon drive shows during football season.
