Jonathan ‘J Steele’ has resigned as Assistant Program Director/afternoon host Beasley Media of Classic Hip-Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC Detroit for family purposes.
Steele joined WMGC as afternoon host in April 2019 and was promoted to APD this past May. Prior to coming to Detroit, Steele programmed Hip Hop “WAMO 100” Pittsburgh, CHR “94.7 Hits-FM” WYUL Chateaugay NY/Montreal and CHR “98.5 Kiss-FM” WPIA Peoria. He has also worked on-air as ‘DJ Miracle’ at WHIZ-FM Zanesville OH and WNGY Peoria.
Steele tells RadioInsight, “This decision was undoubtedly the hardest one I’ve had to make thus far in my career. I have enjoyed working with this talented bunch and appreciate the opportunities that were handed to me during my time with Beasley. The future is still bright and I’m looking forward to much needed time with family and self-reflection. Onward!”
