Max Media Sports “ESPN 94.1” WVSP Yorktown/Norfolk is adding a second local show to its lineup.
Tim Donnelly will host a 2-4pm show starting Monday, June 7. Donnelly has been with WVSP since last February as Executive Producer of the Nick Cattles Show that airs from 4-7pm and will also continue in that role. The former University of Delaware quarterback previously hosted mornings at “Supersports 101.7” WRAD Blacksburg VA and served as OM/host at “ESPN Ithaca” 1160 WPIE Trumansburg NY.
Donnelly will replace ESPN Radio’s Max Kellerman in the 2-4pm slot.
Max Media of Hampton Roads’ ESPN Radio 94.1 (WVSP-FM) adds a live, local talk show to its lineup beginning Monday, June 7, 2021. The Tim Donnelly Show will air each weekday from Noon until 2 p.m. The show will feature locally-driven sports talk, including stories originating in Hampton Roads, regional sports news, and national content discussed through a uniquely 757 lens.
“The opportunity to carve out my place in the 757 sports landscape is one that I do not take lightly. I understand that the market deserves a host that is dedicated and determined to create a fun, sports- centric escape for listeners each and every time they flip on the radio during their lunch break or hop in the car for a mid-day drive,” Donnelly said about the show’s upcoming debut. “I am unbelievably thankful for Keith Barton, Eddie Haskell, Nick Cattles, and Max Media for giving me the chance to bring the show to Hampton Roads.”
Donnelly joined the station in February of 2020 as Executive Producer of The Nick Cattles Show, heard daily from 4 – 7 p.m. on ESPN Radio 94.1. Donnelly previously hosted sports talk radio shows in Delaware, Nebraska, New York and, most recently, Blacksburg, Virginia. Prior to entering the sports media industry, Donnelly played quarterback for the University of Delaware football team. Donnelly is excited to be continuing in his role as E.P. of The Nick Cattles Show.
“Max Media is committed to delivering live and local programming to Hampton Roads,” commented Vice President of Operations and Programming Eddie Haskell. “The Tim Donnelly show will allow us to give our local teams and local advertisers more opportunity to connect with our local audience.”
