Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Detroit, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

Washington DC

Public News/Talk 88.5 WAMU Washington DC rises 11.1 to 11.8. Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP is up 8.1 to 9.0. Atlantic Gateway Communications Christian AC 91.9 WGTS trends up 5.0 – 5.7 – 6.5 to place third. iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH dips 6.5 to 6.1. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR is off 6.3 to 6.0.

Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.3/92.7” WMMJ/WDCJ slips 5.1 to 4.3.

Boston

With the start of the NFL season, Beasley Media’s “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM jumps up 7.3 to 9.4 to take the Boston lead. Sister Classic Hits 105.7 WROR is up 7.4 to 7.7. Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX slips 6.4 to 5.9. iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM dips 5.7 to 5.6, while co-owned News 1030 WBZ holds at a 5.3.

Audacy Sports 93.7 WEEI-FM rises to sixth up 4.0 to 4.9. Public News/Talk 90.0 WBUR trends up 3.5 – 4.0 – 4.3, while iHeartMedia Spanish CHR “Rumba 97.7” rises 1.7 – 2.2 – 2.8.

Trending down are Beasley’s “Country 102.5” WKLB (4.2 – 3.6 – 3.0) and Audacy Hot AC “Mix 104.1” WWBX (4.0 – 3.3 – 2.9).

Seattle/Tacoma

Bonneville’s “Seattle Sports 710” KIRO breaks the format record set last month as it trends up 6.2 – 7.0 – 7.6. Co-owned News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM rises 6.1 – 6.6 – 7.1. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 The Jet” KJEB dips 6.7 to 6.4. AAA 90.3 KEXP rises 4.8 to 4.9. Audacy Soft AC “94.1 The Sound” trends down 6.3 – 5.0 – 4.9.

Lotus’ “Northwest News 1000/97.7” KNWN/KNWN-FM jumps up 3.5 to 4.8. iHeartMedia Sports 93.3 KJR-FM surges 0.8 – 1.3 – 2.3.

Hubbard CHR “Movin 92.5” KQMV slips 4.2 to 3.6.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale

Cox Media Group Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ maintains its South Florida lead up 8.3 to 8.4, while sister Adult R&B “Hot 105” WHQT is up 7.7 to 8.0. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” WAMR dips 5.9 to 5.6. Audacy AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF is off 5.7 to 5.5. SBS Spanish Classic Hits “Zeta 92.3” WCMQ-FM rises 4.7 to 5.3.

SBS Spanish Tropical “El Zol 106.7” WXDJ falls 6.5 to 4.8. Cox Hip Hop “99 Jamz” WEDR trends down 4.6 – 4.4 – 3.6.

Trending up are Univision Spanish Tropical “Mix 98.3” WRTO (2.3 – 2.4- 3.4), and Audacy’s Alternative “104.3 The Shark” WSFS (1.8 – 1.9 – 2.1.) and Sports 560 WQAM following its format consolidation with “790 The Ticket” WAXY (0.5 – 0.9 – 1.0).

Beasley Media Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX rises 7.0 to 7.4 to take the Motor City lead. Audacy Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM jumps up 5.6 to 7.1 (with its stream adding an additional 1.8 share). Audacy’s Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC drops 7.5 to 6.8. Beasley Rock 101.1 WRIF rises 5.3 to 6.2. iHeartMedia Adult R&B “Mix 92.3” WMXD is off 6.4 to 6.0.

Local Media San Diego Variety Hits “100.7 Big-FM” KFBG holds onto its lead as it trends down 8.8 – 8.1 – 6.8. Co-owned Rhythmic AC “Magic 92.5” XHRM comes off its record high down 7.7 to 6.2. Public News/Talk 89.5 KPBS-FM rises 5.4 – 5.6 – 6.1. Audacy AC 96.5 KYXY holds at a 4.8 share. iHeartMedia News/Talk 600 KOGO dips 5.0 to 4.6.

iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM trends down 4.8 – 3.7 – 3.5. LMSD’s CHR “Z90.3” XHTZ rises 3.0 to 3.4.

Audacy Sports “97.3 The Fan” KWFN jumps up 1.9 to 2.9, while its stream rises 0.8 to 1.6.

Tampa/St. Petersburg

Cox Soft AC 105.5 WDUV expands its lead to over three shares as it rises 9.1 to 9.4. Radio Training Network Christian AC “The Joy FM” 91.5 WCIE slides 7.7 to 6.0. Cox Classic Rock “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL is up 5.5 to 5.9, which sister AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM inches up 5.6 to 5.7. iHeartMedia Country “US 103.5” WFUS declines 5.7 to 5.1.

Trending up are Cox Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT (4.2 to 4.7), iHeartMedia’s “98 Rock” WXTB (3.8 to 4.4), Beasley Country 99.5 WQYK (2.7 – 3.6 – 4.3) and Rhythmmic CHR “Wild 94.1” WLLD (2.5 – 2.7 – 3.6), and SBS Spanish Tropical “El Zol 97.1” WSUN (0.6 – 1.0 – 1.3).

On the downswing are iHeartMedia AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX (5.1 – 4.6 – 4.0) and CHR 93.3 WFLZ (3.9 – 3.0 – 2.7).

Audacy Hot AC “Alice 105.9” KALC continues its surge up rising 5.5 – 6.2 – 6.9 for what Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is the largest share in the history of the brand and on the station overall since it was Rock KBPI in Summer 1991. Bonneville AC 101.1 KOSI slips to second 6.3 to 6.2. KSE Media Classic Hits “Kool 105.1” KXKL rises to third 5.0 to 5.8. Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO trends down 6.8 – 5.7 – 5.4. Audacy Classic Rock “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT is off 5.6 to 5.1.

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX rises 4.1 to 4.7.

St. Louis

Hubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH jumps up 8.1 to 9.3 to take the St. Louis lead. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes this is its first time atop the market since December 2016 and the largest share in frequency history. Hubbard takes the next two spots with Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE rising 8.6 to 8.7 and Alternative “105.7 The Point” KPNT down 9.2 to 8.2. Audacy News/Talk 1120/98.7 KMOX trends up 4.9 – 6.5 – 6.9, while co-owned Adult R&B “96.3 The Lou” WFUN-FM rises 6.6 to 6.7.

Gateway Creative Broadcasting Christian AC “99.1 The Joy-FM” KLJY jumps up 5.3 to 6.2.
