Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Detroit, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

88.5 WAMU Washington DC American UniversityPublic News/Talk 88.5 WAMU Washington DC rises 11.1 to 11.8. Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP is up 8.1 to 9.0. Atlantic Gateway Communications Christian AC 91.9 WGTS trends up 5.0 – 5.7 – 6.5 to place third. iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH dips 6.5 to 6.1. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR is off 6.3 to 6.0.

Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.3/92.7” WMMJ/WDCJ slips 5.1 to 4.3.

Boston

98.5 The Sports Hub WBZ-FM BostonWith the start of the NFL season, Beasley Media’s “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM jumps up 7.3 to 9.4 to take the Boston lead. Sister Classic Hits 105.7 WROR is up 7.4 to 7.7. Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX slips 6.4 to 5.9. iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM dips 5.7 to 5.6, while co-owned News 1030 WBZ holds at a 5.3.

Audacy Sports 93.7 WEEI-FM rises to sixth up 4.0 to 4.9. Public News/Talk 90.0 WBUR trends up 3.5 – 4.0 – 4.3, while iHeartMedia Spanish CHR “Rumba 97.7” rises 1.7 – 2.2 – 2.8.

Trending down are Beasley’s “Country 102.5” WKLB (4.2 – 3.6 – 3.0) and Audacy Hot AC “Mix 104.1” WWBX (4.0 – 3.3 – 2.9).

Seattle/Tacoma

Northwest News Radio 1000 KNWN KOMO 97.7 SeattleBonneville’s “Seattle Sports 710” KIRO breaks the format record set last month as it trends up 6.2 – 7.0 – 7.6. Co-owned News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM rises 6.1 – 6.6 – 7.1. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 The Jet” KJEB dips 6.7 to 6.4. AAA 90.3 KEXP rises 4.8 to 4.9. Audacy Soft AC “94.1 The Sound” trends down 6.3 – 5.0 – 4.9.

Lotus’ “Northwest News 1000/97.7” KNWN/KNWN-FM jumps up 3.5 to 4.8. iHeartMedia Sports 93.3 KJR-FM surges 0.8 – 1.3 – 2.3.

SBS Spanish Tropical “El Zol 106.7” WXDJ falls 6.5 to 4.8. Cox Hip Hop “99 Jamz” WEDR trends down 4.6 – 4.4 – 3.6.

106.5 The Arch WARH St. LouisHubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH jumps up 8.1 to 9.3 to take the St. Louis lead. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes this is its first time atop the market since December 2016 and the largest share in frequency history. Hubbard takes the next two spots with Classic Rock 94.7 KSHE rising 8.6 to 8.7 and Alternative “105.7 The Point” KPNT down 9.2 to 8.2. Audacy News/Talk 1120/98.7 KMOX trends up 4.9 – 6.5 – 6.9, while co-owned Adult R&B “96.3 The Lou” WFUN-FM rises 6.6 to 6.7.

Gateway Creative Broadcasting Christian AC “99.1 The Joy-FM” KLJY jumps up 5.3 to 6.2.

Hubbard Country 92.3 WIL is off 6.3 – 6.1 – 5.7. Audacy Hip Hop “Hot 104.1” WHHL falls 3.2 to 2.5.

106.5 The Arch WARH St. LouisHubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH jumps up 8.1 to 9.3 to take the St. Louis lead. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes this is its first time atop the market since December 2016 and the largest share in frequency history.
