Cox Media Group Country “93Q” KKBQ Pasadena/Houston TX has made the arrival of Andy ‘Riggs’ Riggle official as he debuted on the “93Q Morning Show” with Erica Rico and Katelyn Maida this morning.
Riggs departed Audacy CHR “103.7 Kiss-FM” WXSS Milwaukee at the end of October after nine years ahead of his move to Houston. He previously hosted afternoons at iHeartMedia’s “97.3 Radio Now” WRNW-FM Milwaukee and also served as APD/evening host at CHR “Radio Now 100.9” WNOU Indianapolis and Program Director of “Kiss 105.3” WYKS Gainesville and “98.1 Kiss-FM” WKXJ Chattanooga.
He filled the opening created by the exit of Tim Tuttle in May after 17 years with the station.
Cox Media Group (“CMG”) Houston today announced that KKBQ 93Q will be revamping its talent lineup. The change comes as the station welcomes Andy “Riggs” Riggle as co-host of the 93Q Morning Show. He will join co-hosts Erica Rico and Katelyn Maida on the 93Q Morning Show effective today.
Riggs brings over 22 years of radio and media experience to the Lonestar state. In 2013, he joined WXSS in Milwaukee after previously hosting afternoons at iHeartMedia’s WRNW-FM. He has also served as Assistant Program Director and evening host at WNOU Indianapolis, WYKS Gainesville, and WKXJ Chattanooga.
“I am beyond pumped to have Riggs join the 93Q Morning Show. In a time where listeners crave genuine connection, Riggs will bring joy and authenticity to our amazing listeners in Houston,” said Travis Moon, CMG Houston’s Director of Operations. “Not only is he creative and community driven, his positivity and enthusiasm are infectious. This is going to be fun!”
“I’m astronomically excited to jump headfirst into the world of country music and wake up the city of Houston, along with Katelyn Maida and Erica Rico,” said Riggs. “I was ready to focus full time on my Mental Health nonprofit, HeartHead (helping people pay for therapy), but this opportunity was just too good and too big! I’m ready for this amazing new adventure. Thank you to CMG, Chris Eagan, and the incredible Travis Moon for believing in me and taking a chance on a Midwest guy from Wisconsin by way of Indiana.”
Riggs succeeds Tim Tuttle, who left the 93Q Morning Show in May after 17 years with the station.
