Bob James has announced his retirement as Brand Manager and afternoon host at Townsquare Media Country 98.1 KHAK Cedar Rapids IA after 33 years at the station.

James joined KHAK (pronounced on-air as K-Hawk) in 1990 as overnight host before moving to nights in 1991 and cluster Production Director/midday host in 1994. He has served as Program Director and afternoon host since 2002. He began his career with brief stints at KOUR Independence and KXEL/KOKZ Waterloo IA. He will depart the station at the end of February.
