Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Miami, Seattle, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis, Tampa/St. Petersburg, San Diego, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

Washington DC

88.5 WAMU Washington DC American UniversityPublic News/Talk 88.5 WAMU moves up to the top spot 10.4 to 10.5. Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP is down 10.7 to 9.8. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR slides 7.6 – 6.7 – 6.4. iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH holds at a 4.8 share, with sister Alternative “DC 101” WWDC is off 4.5 to 4.4.

Radio One Adult R&B “Majic 102.3/92.7” WMMJ/WDCJ slides 4.7 – 4.4. – 4.1. Audacy Classic Hits “94.7 The Drive” WIAD is falls 5.1 – 4.1 – 3.6.

Audacy Sports “106.7 The Fan” WJFK-FM is up 1.4 – 1.7 – 1.8 with its stream rising 0.7 to 1.1. Sister Spanish CHR “El Zol 107.9” WLZL similarly is up 1.3 – 1.5 – 1.8 and its stream jumps from 0.1 to 1.2.

Boston

Mix 104.1 WWBX BostonAudacy Hot AC “Mix 104.1” WWBX continues its 2024 growth rising 7.0 to 7.8 for what Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is its largest share since Summer 1985 and first time atop the Boston market since Fall 1987, both as Rock WBCN.

Beasley Media’s “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM slips 11.0 – 9.9 – 7.7 – 7.5 through the NFL offseason. Beasley Classic Hits 105.7 WROR dips 6.8 to 6.4. Audacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX dips 6.0 to 5.7. iHeartMedia News 1030 WBZ holds at a 4.7 share.

Public News/Talk 90.9 WBUR trends down 5.4 – 5.1 – 4.6, while competing 89.7 WGBH-FM rises 3.1 to 4.1.

iHeartMedia CHR “Kiss 108” WXKS-FM trends down 5.0 – 4.7 – 4.4. Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX is up 3.7 – 3.9 – 4.3 since the arrival of morning host Rich Shertenlieb.

Beasley Media Country 102.5 WKLB swings 3.9 – 3.1 – 3.8. Sister Classic Rock “Rock 92.9” WBOS dips 2.2 to 1.9 in its final full monthly ahead of its move to HD/AM/translator.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale

Zeta Z 92.3 WCMQ-FM MiamiCox Adult R&B “Hot 105” WHQT extends its lead 8.3 – 9.6 – 9.8. SBS Salsa “Z92.3” WCMQ jumps up 4.6 to 5.9, which ties iHeartMedia Bilingual AC “Magic 93.9” WMIA-FM as it gains 4.8 to 5.9 for what Huff notes is the highest share on the frequency since it was Rhythmic AC “93.9 MIA” in June 2009. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” WAMR dips 5.5 to 5.3. Audacy AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF is off 5.3 to 5.2.

Audacy Classic Hits “102.7 The Beach” WMXJ falls 4.2 to 3.6. Cox Rhythmic Hot AC “Hits 97.3” WFLC gains 2.7 to 3.2.

Actualidad Radio Spanish News/Talk 1040 WURN climbs 1.5 – 1.8 – 2.7. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 610 WIOD is up 1.9 to 2.5.

Cox Hip Hop “99 Jamz” WEDR slides 3.7 – 3.0 – 2.6.

Seattle/Tacoma

94.9 KUOW SeattlePublic News/Talk 94.9 KUOW-FM climbs up 6.6 – 7.7 – 8.6 for what Huff notes is a new record high share for the station. iHeartMedia Classic Rock 102.5 KZOK bounces back 6.6 to 7.1. Audacy Rock 99.9 KISW dips 6.4 to 5.9. Bonneville News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM is up 4.9 to 5.3. In its final full monthly ahead of today’s flip to Hot AC, Audacy Soft AC “94.1 The Sound” KSWD rises to fifth 4.0 to 4.3.

Since the launch of its two new Country competitors on April 1, Audacy’s “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF has been down each month and that continues as its slide goes 7.4 – 6.2 – 5.3 – 4.8 – 4.2. Lotus Classic Country “101.5 Hank-FM” KPLZ-FM is off for the first time since its flip down 2.9 to 2.7. Hubbard’s “98.9 The Bull” KPNW-FM rises 1.7 to 2.2.

iHeartMedia Classic Hits “95.7 The Jet” KJEB hits some turbulence moving 5.3 to 4.2. Hubbard AC “Warm 106.9” KRWM is up 3.4 to 3.8.

Lotus News 1000 KNWN/97.7 KNWN-FM rises 2.5 – 3.6 – 3.8. Bonneville Conservative Talk 770 KTTH gains 2.0 – 2.7 – 2.9.

Classical 98.1 KING-FM slides 4.1 – 3.2 – 2.9. AAA 90.3 KEXP drops 3.0 to 2.3.

Phoenix

99.9 The Breeze KEZ KESZ PhoenixiHeartMedia AC “99.9 KEZ” KESZ trends up 8.9 – 9.5 – 10.1 to extend its lead to four shares. Hubbard Classic Rock 100.7 KSLX falls 8.3 to 6.1. iHeartMedia Variety Hits “95.5 The Mountain” KYOT slides 6.6 – 5.3 – 4.6. Hubbard Rock 97.9 KUPD gains 3.8 to 4.5. iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 550 KFYI is up for the fourth consecutive month 3.8 to 4.2.

Bonneville’s “Arizona Sports 98.7” KMVP-FM rises 2.6 – 3.1 – 3.5.

Entravision Regional Mexican “La Tricolor 103.5” KLNZ jumps up 2.0 to 3.4. Chavez Radio Group’s “La Campesina 101.9” 860 KNAI gains 1.6 – 1.9 – 2.8. Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 105.9/105.1” KHOT/KHOV slides 2.4 – 1.9 – 1.6.

Sierra H Classic Hip Hop “101 The Bounce” KZCE rises 2.5 – 3.0 – 3.2.

97.1 The Ticket WXYT DetroitAudacy Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM rises 7.5 – 7.8 – 8.5 with its stream up 1.1 to 1.5. iHeart AC 100.3 WNIC falls 8.2 to 7.3. Audacy Country 99.5 WYCD falls 7.6 to 6.4, while sister Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC rises 5.3 to 6.1. Beasley Media Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX (down 6.4 to 5.9) and CHR “Channel 95.5” WKQI (5.7 to 5.9) tie for fifth.

Kool 108 KQQL MinneapolisNorthwestern Media Christian AC 98.5 KTIS-FM has its lead narrow as it drops 9.3 to 8.7. iHeartMedia Classic Hits “Kool 108” KQQL jumps up 6.5 – 7.0 – 8.4. Hubbard Hot AC “KS 95” KSTP-FM drops 8.3 to 7.3 to tie with Public News/Talk 91.1 KNOW-FM as it rises 6.0 – 6.7 – 7.3. iHeart Sports “100.3 KFAN” KFXN-FM is up 6.7 to 7.0.

Cumulus Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS jumps up 4.4 to 5.2. Audacy Variety Hits “104.1 Jack-FM” KZJK falls 6.4 – 5.2 – 4.5.

Classical 99.5 KSJN trends up 1.7 – 2.1 – 2.7.

Tampa/St. Petersburg

105.5 WDUV Tampa DoveCox Soft AC 105.5 WDUV maintains your lead 10.4 to 10.7. Beasley Country 99.5 WQYK is second 6.6 to 6.4, while iHeartMedia’s competing “US 103.5” WFUS rises 5.1 to 6.3. Cox Adult R&B “101.5 The Vibe” WTBV gains 5.8 – 6.1 – 6.2. Cox Classic Rock “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL gains 5.4 to 6.2.

Cox Hot AC “Magic 94.9” WWRM trends up 3.6 – 4.1 – 4.5. iHeart AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX is down 6.2 to 5.7. Radio Training Network Christian AC “The Joy FM” 91.5 WCIE rises 3.2 – 3.8 – 4.1.

Cox Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT rises 3.0 to 3.7.

Beasley Media Classic Hits “Q105” WRBQ falls 3.8 – 3.2 – 2.7 for what Huff notes is the lowest share on the frequency from when it was still Country in Fall 2001. Beasley Spanish CHR “Maxima 92.5” WYUU rises 1.9 – 2.4 – 2.6.

Following their frequency swap on the first day of the monthly, iHeartMedia’s Spanish CHR “Rumba” is up from a 1.1 on 106.5 to a 1.3 on 95.7. “The Beat” WBTP drops from a 1.5 with Hip Hop on 95.7 to 1.1 with Classic Hip Hop on 106.5.

San Diego

Que Buena 106.5 KLNV San DiegoAudacy Classic Hits “Sunny 98.1” KXSN slips 8.3 to 7.8. Public News/Talk 89.5 KPBS-FM is down 7.4 – 7.2 – 6.9. iHeartMedia Hot AC “Star 94.1” KMYI (6.2 to 5.2) and Local Media San Diego Rhythmic AC “Magic 92.5” XHRM (up 5.0 to 5.2) tie for third. Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 106.5” KLNV jumps up 3.6 to 4.9 to tie with Audacy Sports “97.3 The Fan” KWFN (4.2 to 4.9)

iHeartMedia Classic Rock 101.5 KGB-FM drops 4.2 to 3.4. iHeart CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM slides 4.0 – 3.5 – 3.4. Local Media San Diego CHR “Z90” XHTZ is down 3.5 – 2.8 – 2.8.

Univision Spanish AC “Amor 102.9” KLQV drops 3.8 to 2.6.

Denver

Kool 105 KXKL DenverKSE Media Classic Hits “Kool 105” KXKL has heated up through this spring and summer. Since registering a 4.8 share in March, KXKL has been up or steady each month rising now 6.3 to 6.8, which Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is the stations largest share since the summer of 1991.

Bonneville’s duo of Country 98.5 KYGO (down 6.9 to 6.5) and AC 101.1 KOSI (steady at 6.5) tie for second. iHeartMedia Classic Rock “103.5 The Fox” KRFX drops from first 7.1 to 6.3. iHeart Alternative “Channel 93.3” KTCL is up 5.0 – 5.2 – 5.4.

iHeart AAA 97.3 KBCO slides 5.6 – 5.2 – 4.6. EMF Christian AC “K-Love” 91.1 KLDV falls 4.3 – 3.4 – 3.0.

iHeartMedia Country “106.7 The Bull” KWBL trends up 2.1 – 2.4 – 2.7.

Just before its move to Rhythmic Throwbacks following this monthly, Audacy’s “KS 107.5” is up 2.2 to 2.5.

Baltimore

Kirk McEwen Marianne Sierk 98 Rock 97.9 WIYY BaltimoreAudacy AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF surges up 6.6 – 7.5 – 9.3 to take the Baltimore lead. Hearst Rock “98 Rock” WIYY has risen across the baseball season on the backs of the Orioles play-by-play 4.5 – 5.1 – 5.7 – 6.5 – 7.8, which Huff notes is its largest share since Spring 1991. Radio One Hip Hop “92Q” WERQ rises 6.4 to 7.6, while sister Adult R&B “Magic 95.9” WWIN-FM is down 6.7 to 6.0. Public News/Talk 88.1 WYPR trends up 3.6 – 4.6 – 4.8.

iHeartMedia Country 93.1 WPOC plummets 8.7 – 6.6 – 4.2 for its lowest PPM era share. Brighter Media Group Christian AC “95.1 Bright-FM” WRBS-FM falls 6.5 – 5.7 – 5.6 – 4.2.

Audacy Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX falls 4.4 – 3.3 – 2.6. Hearst News/Talk 1090 WBAL trends down 3.0 – 2.9 – 2.3.

St. Louis
