March 2025 (3/6 – 4/2) Nielsen Audio PPM Ratings Day 2: A New High Standard Of Current For KCMP

Nielsen Audio has released Day 2 of its monthly four day sweep of ratings in PPM markets.

Today’s releases include Washington DC, Boston, Seattle, Miami, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Denver, San Diego, Baltimore, and St. Louis.

New York

Nielsen added Emmis Bilingual AC “98.7 La Exitosa” WEPN-FM to the subscriber list showing the station with a 1.2 share

Washington DC

105.9 WMAL Washington DCPublic News/Talk 88.5 WAMU’s lead narrows as much as possible with a 12.3 to 11.4 drop, while Hubbard News 103.5 WTOP is down 11.7 to 11.3. iHeartMedia AC 97.1 WASH is up 6.5 to 6.7. Howard University Adult R&B 96.3 WHUR is off 5.5 to 5.4. iHeartMedia Alternative “DC 101” WWDC dips 5.5 to 5.3.

Cumulus Conservative Talk 105.9 WMAL rises 2.8 – 3.3 – 3.9 – 4.7. iHeart Classic Rock “Big 100” WBIG-FM gains 2.8 – 3.7 – 3.9. Audacy Classic Hits “94.7 The Drive” WIAD rises 3.3 to 3.9, while sister Rhythmic CHR 95.5 WPGC is up for the fourth straight month 3.0 to 3.3.

iHeart CHR “Hot 99.5” WIHT trends down 3.7 – 3.4 – 3.0. Classical 90.9 WETA-FM is down 4.5 – 4.1. – 3.8.

Bloomberg Business News “Bloomberg 99.1” WDCH rises 0.9 – 1.0 – 1.3 with all of the uncertainty from Trump’s tariff plans. Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes that is the highest share on the station since it was CBS’ “All News 99.1” WNEW in September 2015.

Boston

100.7 WZLX Boston Chris Tyler WMMSAudacy AC “Magic 106.7” WMJX extends its lead to a full share point 7.0 to 7.2. Beasley’s “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM falls 9.0 – 6.8 – 6.2. iHeartMedia News 1030 WBZ dips 6.2 to 5.8. iHeart Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX continues its climb 3.6 – 4.5 – 5.2 – 5.7. Beasley Classic Hits 105.7 WROR rises 4.8 to 5.1.

Public News/Talk 90.9 WBUR is down 5.6 to 4.8.

Audacy Variety Hits “Big 103” WBGB continues its climb 2.1 – 2.4 – 2.7 – 3.7. iHeartMedia Country “101.7 The Bull” is up 1.4 – 1.8 – 2.1 following its addition of non-Country songs.

Just like Washington, Bloomberg’s “Bloomberg 92.9” WBOS-FM rose 0.7 to 1.0 with its tariff coverage.

Seattle/Tacoma

Spirit 105.3 KCMS-FM CRISTA Media SeattlePublic News/Talk 94.9 KUOW-FM holds its lead at a 7.8 share. iHeartMedia Classic Rock 102.5 KZOK inches up 6.1 to 6.2. Audacy Rock 99.9 KISW rises 4.0 to 4.8 to tie for third with Hubbard AC “Warm 106.9” KRWM, which is up 4.7 to 4.8. Crista Media Christian AC “Spirit 105.3” KCMS-FM is up for the fifth straight month 4.2 to 4.5.

Classical 98.1 KING-FM swings back down 4.4 – 5.1 – 4.3. Bonneville News/Talk 97.3 KIRO-FM is down 4.6 to 4.0.

Audacy Alternative “107.7 The End” KNDD is up 3.6 to 4.1 for its highest share since July 2020. 90.3 KEXP drops 3.7 to 3.0.

Audacy Country “100.7 The Wolf” KKWF is down 4.3 to 3.9 (with its stream dipping 0.6 to 0.5). Lotus Classic Country “101.5 Hank-FM” KPLZ-FM rises 2.0 – 2.4 – 3.0. Hubbard Country “98.9 The Bull” KPNW-FM dips 2.1 to 1.9.

K-Love Inc. Christian AC “K-Love” 104.5 KLSW-FM slids 2.0 – 1.7 – 1.2.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale

Amor 107.5 WAMR Miami Fort LauderdaleCox Adult R&B “Hot 105” WHQT maintains the top spot down 8.5 to 7.5. Univision Spanish AC “Amor 107.5” WAMR jumps 5.1 to 6.3. Cox Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ is off 6.3 to 6.1. Audacy Classic Hits “102.7 The Beach” WMXJ (5.7 to 5.5) and AC “101.5 Lite-FM” WLYF (5.4 to 5.5) tie for fourth.

Audacy Country “99.9 Kiss Country” WKIS-FM gains 2.8 to 3.5.

Audacy Rhythmic Throwbacks “Power 96” WPOW-FM skids 3.6 – 3.3 – 3.1. Cox Rhythmic Hot AC “Hits 97.3” WFLC is down 3.1 to 2.6.

Phoenix

98 KUPD 97.9 PhoenixiHeartMedia AC “99.9 KEZ” KESZ grows its lead with a 7.4 to 8.4 rise. Hubbard Classic Rock 100.7 KSLX takes sole possession of second moving 5.8 to 5.9, while iHeart Variety Hits “95.5 The Mountain” KYOT holds at a 5.8 share. Hubbard Rock 97.9 KUPD continues its early year rise 4.1 – 4.5 – 4.8 – 5.7, while sister Alternative “Alt AZ 93.3” KDKB holds at a 4.0 share to time for fifth with Audacy Classic Hits “Big 94.5” KOOL-FM (up 3.7 to 4.0).

iHeart Country 102.5 KNIX slips 4.5 – 4.2 – 3.9, while Audacy’s 107.9 KMLE is down 4.1 to 3.5.

Classical 89.5 KBAQ climbs 3.1 to 3.7. iHeart CHR “104.7 Kiss-FM” KZZP’s 2.9 to 3.1 rise gives the station its highest share since August 2023.

Chavez Media Regional Mexican “La Campesina 101.9” 860 KNAI slides 3.1 – 2.8 – 2.2. Bonneville’s “Arizona Sports 98.7” KMVP-FM drops 2.8 – 2.1 – 1.6.

Detroit

104.3 WOMC Detroit Stephen Clark WXYZAudacy takes four of the top five spots. iHeartMedia AC 100.3 WNIC continues to lead 9.1 to 8.4. Audacy’s Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM gains 6.2 to 7.6, but its stream inches up 1.6 to 1.7. Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC trends 5.7 – 6.6 – 7.0 – 7.3, while News 950 WWJ (down 5.9 to 5.5) and Country 99.5 WYCD (up 5.2 to 5.5) tie for fourth.

iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 95.5” WKQI dives 5.9 to 5.3. Adult R&B “Mix 92.3” WMXD is down 5.6 to 5.1. Beasley’s competing R&B “105.9 Kiss-FM” WDMK rises 2.9 – 3.4 – 4.0 for what Huff notes is its best showing since August 2022. Beasley Classic Hip Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC-FM rises 2.9 to 3.5.

Cumulus Hot AC 96.3 WDVD slides 4.0 – 3.6 – 3.3. News/Talk 760 WJR is down 2.8 to 2.2.

89.3 The Current KCMP MinneapolisiHeartMedia Sports “100.3 K-FAN” KFXN-FM expands its lead 9.3 to 9.9, while sister Classic Hits “Kool 108” KQQL is up 7.2 to 7.4. Public News/Talk 91.1 KNOW-FM inches up 7.1 to 7.2 with its stream dipping 1.7 to 1.5. Hubbard Hot AC “KS 95” KSTP-FM dips 7.1 to 6.9. Northwestern Media Christian AC 98.5 KTIS-FM is up 5.0 – 5.5 – 6.1.

AAA “89.3 The Current” KCMP rises 5.3 to 5.9, which Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is the largest share ever for the Minnesota Public Radio station.

Audacy Variety Hits “104.1 Jack-FM” KZJK rises 3.3 – 4.4 – 4.7 – 5.3.

Ahead of its relaunch on the first day of the April survey, Cumulus Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS inches up 4.5 to 4.6.

iHeartMedia CHR 101.3 KDWB falls 5.4 to 4.5.

98 Rock 97.9 WXTB Tampa Bay Buccaneers Radio US 103.5 WFUS 620 WDAECox Soft AC 105.5 WDUV’s lead significantly narrows as it drops 10.1 to 9.4. Radio Training Network Christian AC “The Joy FM” 91.5 WCIE raises up 6.4 to 8.2 for its best showing since September 2021. iHeartMedia Rock “98 Rock” WXTB climbs 3.5 – 4.2 – 4.8 – 5.2 – 6.3 for what Huff notes is its best share since Spring 1999. Cox Classic Rock “107.3 The Eagle” WXGL is up 5.7 to 5.9. iHeart Country “US 103.5” WFUS dips 5.2 to 4.8.

Beasley Country 99.5 WQYK slips 5.3 – 5.0 – 4.7. iHeart AC “Mix 100.7” WMTX is up 4.2 to 4.7

iHeart Spanish CHR “Rumba 95.7” WRUB rises 1.8 – 2.2 – 2.9. Beasley’s “92.5 Maxima” WYUU is up 2.1 to 2.5. SBS Spanish Tropical “El Zol 97.1” WSUN-FM falls 2.4 to 1.5.

iHeart News/Talk 970 WFLA drops 4.0 to 3.1. Public News/Talk 89.7 WUSF is up 2.6 to 3.1. Cox Hot Talk “102.5 The Bone” WHPT slides 4.1 – 3.6 – 2.9.

Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO is up 5.4 to 5.8. iHeartMedia Alternative “Channel 93.3” KTCL dips 5.9 to 5.3. Audacy Hot AC “Alice 105.9” KALC inches up 4.7 to 4.9.

iHeartMedia Classic Rock “103.5 The Fox” KRFX rises 3.9 to 4.8 to tie Audacy’s “99.5 The Mountain” KQMT as it is up 4.6 to 4.8.

iHeart CHR “Hits 95.7” KDHT trends up 3.6 – 4.0 – 4.6 for its best share since July 2016 as “95.7 The Party” KPTT. Audacy Rhythmic Throwbacks “KS 107.5” KQKS rises 3.0 – 3.2 – 4.0 nets its highest share since July 2019.

Classical 88.1 KVOD surges up 1.2 – 1.8 – 3.1 for its best share since March 2023.

KSE Media Sports “Altitude 92.5” KKSE-FM inches up 2.7 to 2.9. Bonneville’s “104.3 The Fan” KKFN slides 3.1 – 2.6 – 2.3. iHeartMedia News/Talk 850/94.1 KOA dips 1.9 to 1.8, while co-owned Conservative Talk “Freedom 93.7” 760 KDFD is down 2.2 to 1.6 and 630 KHOW slides 1.5 – 1.1 – 0.9.

San Diego

Magic 92.5 XHRM Tijuana San Diego Local MediaAudacy Classic Hits “Sunny 98.1” KXSN maintains a two share lead down 9.0 to 8.3. Public News/Talk 89.5 KPBS-FM skids 6.7 to 6.3. Local Media San Diego Rhythmic AC “Magic 92.5” XHRM rises 4.9 – 5.4 – 5.9. Audacy AC 96.5 KYXY places fourth 4.9 to 5.0, while co-owned Country 103.7 KSON rises 4.2 to 4.8.

After jumping up 2.8 – 3.8 – 5.3 following the launch of its temporary simulcast on 100.7 KFBG, LMSD Alternative “91X” XETRA-FM comes back down to a 4.6 share. Audacy Alternative “Alt 94.9” KBZT was down 3.7 to 3.3.

Hubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH holds at a 7.1 share with sister Country 92.3 WIL behind 6.6 to 6.7. Audacy AC 102.5 KEZK dips 6.4 to 6.3.

iHeartMedia Country “93.7 The Bull” KSD-FM slides 6.7 – 6.4 – 5.8.

With the addition of its simulcast on 104.1 KMOX-FM halfway through the monthly, Audacy News/Talk 1120 KMOX rises 2.4 to 3.2 with its stream moving 1.2 to 1.1. Hip Hop “Hot 98.7” KEZK-HD2 is down 2.3 to 1.5 following its move to the HD2/translator combo. Audacy Country “99.9 Kiss Country” WKIS-FM gains 2.8 to 3.5.

Audacy Rhythmic Throwbacks “Power 96” WPOW-FM skids 3.6 – 3.3 – 3.1. Cox Rhythmic Hot AC “Hits 97.3” WFLC is down 3.1 to 2.6.

98 KUPD 97.9 PhoenixiHeartMedia AC “99.9 KEZ” KESZ grows its lead with a 7.4 to 8.4 rise. Hubbard Classic Rock 100.7 KSLX takes sole possession of second moving 5.8 to 5.9, while iHeart Variety Hits “95.5 The Mountain” KYOT holds at a 5.8 share. Hubbard Rock 97.9 KUPD continues its early year rise 4.1 – 4.5 – 4.8 – 5.7, while sister Alternative “Alt AZ 93.3” KDKB holds at a 4.0 share to time for fifth with Audacy Classic Hits “Big 94.5” KOOL-FM (up 3.7 to 4.0).

iHeart Country 102.5 KNIX slips 4.5 – 4.2 – 3.9, while Audacy’s 107.9 KMLE is down 4.1 to 3.5.

Classical 89.5 KBAQ climbs 3.1 to 3.7. iHeart CHR “104.7 Kiss-FM” KZZP’s 2.9 to 3.1 rise gives the station its highest share since August 2023.

Chavez Media Regional Mexican “La Campesina 101.9” 860 KNAI slides 3.1 – 2.8 – 2.2. Bonneville’s “Arizona Sports 98.7” KMVP-FM drops 2.8 – 2.1 – 1.6.

104.3 WOMC Detroit Stephen Clark WXYZAudacy takes four of the top five spots. iHeartMedia AC 100.3 WNIC continues to lead 9.1 to 8.4. Audacy’s Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM gains 6.2 to 7.6, but its stream inches up 1.6 to 1.7. Classic Hits 104.3 WOMC trends 5.7 – 6.6 – 7.0 – 7.3, while News 950 WWJ (down 5.9 to 5.5) and Country 99.5 WYCD (up 5.2 to 5.5) tie for fourth.

iHeartMedia CHR “Channel 95.5” WKQI dives 5.9 to 5.3. Adult R&B “Mix 92.3” WMXD is down 5.6 to 5.1. Beasley’s competing R&B “105.9 Kiss-FM” WDMK rises 2.9 – 3.4 – 4.0 for what Huff notes is its best showing since August 2022. Beasley Classic Hip Hop “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC-FM rises 2.9 to 3.5.

Cumulus Hot AC 96.3 WDVD slides 4.0 – 3.6 – 3.3. News/Talk 760 WJR is down 2.8 to 2.2.

Northwestern Media Christian AC 98.5 KTIS-FM is up 5.0 – 5.5 – 6.1.

AAA “89.3 The Current” KCMP rises 5.3 to 5.9, which Ratings Expert Chris Huff notes is the largest share ever for the Minnesota Public Radio station.

Audacy Variety Hits “104.1 Jack-FM” KZJK rises 3.3 – 4.4 – 4.7 – 5.3.

Ahead of its relaunch on the first day of the April survey, Cumulus Classic Rock 92.5 KQRS inches up 4.5 to 4.6.

iHeartMedia CHR 101.3 KDWB falls 5.4 to 4.5.

After jumping up 2.8 – 3.8 – 5.3 following the launch of its temporary simulcast on 100.7 KFBG, LMSD Alternative “91X” XETRA-FM comes back down to a 4.6 share. Audacy Alternative “Alt 94.9” KBZT was down 3.7 to 3.3.

Univision Regional Mexican “Que Buena 106.5” KLNV is down 4.8 to 4.2, while sister Spanish AC “Amor 102.9” KLQV rises 2.3 to 3.1. Uniradio Regional Mexican “99.7 La Invasora” XHTY-FM jumps 0.5 to 1.8.

Hubbard Variety Hits “106.5 The Arch” WARH holds at a 7.1 share with sister Country 92.3 WIL behind 6.6 to 6.7. Audacy AC 102.5 KEZK dips 6.4 to 6.3.

With the addition of its simulcast on 104.1 KMOX-FM halfway through the monthly, Audacy News/Talk 1120 KMOX rises 2.4 to 3.2 with its stream moving 1.2 to 1.1. Hip Hop “Hot 98.7” KEZK-HD2 is down 2.3 to 1.5 following its move to the HD2/translator combo. Sister Adult R&B “96.3 R&B” WFUN-FM rose 5.3 to 5.8. iHeartMedia Hip Hop “100.3 The Beat” KATZ-FM gains 2.0 to 2.8.
