A wave of cuts continues to take place at Townsquare Media.
Townsquare has been downsizing staffers across its station portfolio in recent months, but those moves have picked up steam in the past couple of weeks. Among the names to recently depart are:
Megan Stone departs as Brand Manager and morning co-host at News/Talk 950 WIBX Utica NY. Stone joined WIBX in June 2023 from ABC Radio where she served as a producer and reporter. She previously has also co-hosted mornings at AC 107.9 WEBE Westport CT, News Director at Rock 95.9 WFOX-FM Norwalk CT, midday host on Classic Rock 99.1 WPLR New Haven CT, and morning co-host on Hot AC “Live 95.9” WBEC-FM Pittsfield MA.
Stone shared on LinkedIn, “It’s with a heavy heart that I announce I was among the latest round of layoffs at Townsquare Media. Many of us in radio understand our industry is ever-changing, and, sometimes we are not included in those changes. Despite this outcome, I am proud of everything I accomplished during my time at WIBX, a nearly 100-year-old news radio station. My time as WIBX’s Brand Manager was an exciting challenge that taught me numerous lessons about myself and my capabilities. I will miss the Mohawk Valley – especially all the friendships I made during my time here.”
Daniel Tantillo departs as Regional Production Director based at Talk/Classic Hits “New Jersey 101.5” WKXW Trenton NJ. During his twelve year run, Tantillo rose from intern to promotions assistant to Production Director and weekend host before taking on his current role in July 2023.
Jolana Miller is out as national Classic Hits afternoon host. Miller joined Townsquare in December 2021 as Brand Manager for Classic Hits “102.1/105.3 The Shark” WSHK/WSAK in the Portsmouth NH market through February 2024 when she moved to the remote tracking role. She previously has held roles as Director of Programming for Cumulus AC 103.9 WFAS-FM White Plains NY and on-air at KKPK Colorado Springs, WEZN Bridgeport CT, WPLR New Haven CT, WFOX-FM Norwalk CT, WCOD Cape Cod MA, and WBMX Boston. She also currently serves as a weekend/fill-in host for Audacy’s “Mix 104.1” WWBX Boston.
Rob Riccitelli exits as morning host at Alternative 94.3 WCYY Biddeford/Portland ME and 103.7 WPKQ North Conway NH. Riccitelli joined the stations in October 2023 after previously working at WCYY from 2000 to 2016 where he would rise to APD/afternoon host. He would later host middays on Saga Classic Hits “Rewind 100.9” WYNZ and weekends on Hot AC “Coast 93.1” WMGX from 2017 until 2020 when he decided to focus on real estate.
Don ‘Critter’ Brown departs as Brand Manager of Classic Rock “Z94” KZCD and morning co-host at Country 101.3 KLAW Lawton OK. Jeri Anderson remains in mornings at KLAW.
