
Dwyer had been with KUPL since April 1998 in multiple on and off-air roles including Promotions Director, rising to Music Director in 2016, and was APD from 2019 until 2024. He has also served as a traffic reporter for multiple television stations in the Portland market. Prior to joining KUPL, Dwyer worked at multiple Country stations in Southern California including KHAY Oxnard and KZLA Los Angeles. He had most recently been hosting from 9am to 12pm at the station.

Byron was on his second tour with the station. He originally joined KUPL in 2004 and was part of multiple iterations of its morning show from 2014 to 2020. After exiting in a COVID related cut, Byron returned to the station in October 2021 and spent time hosting afternoons, nights, weekends, and most recently 12-3pm since returning.
Country Aircheck adds that cluster Marketing Director Karli Sann also exits. Sann originally worked at the cluster from 2013 to 2018 rising from the street team to KUPL Promotions Director. She returned in her most recent role in July 2022.
KUPL’s lineup currently features Premiere Networks’ Bobby Bones Show in mornings, Skyview Network’s “B-Dub Radio” in afternoons, and KBAY San Jose afternoon host Emily Harlan tracking nights.
KUPL had a 3.0 share in the May 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings, but trailed Audacy’s “99.5 The Wolf” KWJJ-FM’s 3.9 share.
















Sad, another great radio station turning to syndication to fill all 5 dayparts. As an On Air Personality that has been putting applications in all over the United States for the last 2 weeks it is sad to see where TRUE REAL Radio is headed in the future accross the board. No Shade intended to those syndicated shows they are fun and a good time to listen to but they are truly killing the world of radio iin the future. Mom & Pop owned stations are almost all that is left for Live & Local DJ’s these days.
