WQGR Program Director Ted Alexander To Retire

Ted Alexander Gold 93.7 WQGRLongtime Cleveland area personality, programmer and engineer Ted Alexander will retire from his role as Program Director at Music Express Broadcasting Corp. Oldies “Gold 93.7” WQGR North Madison in Cleveland’s northeast suburbs on November 30.

Alexander has programmed WQGR since its flip to Oldies in December 2018 with his syndicated “10,000 Oldies Show” airing daily from 12-1pm. Alexander has spent his career in the Cleveland market holding various on-air and engineering roles across the market for the past six decades with time at stations including 850 WRMR/WKNR, 1000 WSUM, 1100 WWWE, 1220 WGAR, 1260 WBBG, 1330 WELW, 98.5 WNCX, 102.1 WDOK, 104.9 WCLV, and 107.9 WNOB/WELW-FM and roles including engineer, DJ, talk show host, traffic reporter, voiceover artist, and PD. He also spent a decade as a support engineer at the Telos Alliance.

Alexander posted, “It is time to retire. I will be leaving GOLD 93.7 as of November 30, 2025. It has been a great run. After over 60 years in the broadcast business, it is time to unplug the microphone and enjoy retirement. Thanks to everyone who liked Gold 93.7, and to the best of my knowledge it will carry on. This is Ted, signing off!”
