iHeartMedia has appointed Michael Johnson Jr. as Program Director for “Fox Sports 97.9” WUCS Windsor Locks/Hartford, “NewsRadio 1410/100.9” WPOP/W265EB Hartford, 960 WELI/96.9 W245DK New Haven, and “Fox Sports 1300” WAVZ New Haven CT.
Johnson joins iHeart from Townsquare Media where spent the past year as Brand Manager for Sports “104.5 The Team” WTMM-FM Albany. He joined WTMM-FM in 2021 and spent time as a producer and account executive before becoming co-host and producer of “Big Board Sports” in 2022 and Brand Manager in March 2025. He was also was play by play announcer for University of Albany football and men’s basketball.
