KXLI Las Vegas Sold; Flips To Exa-FM
Update 7/1: With the change in ownership, 94.5 KXLI has flipped to Spanish CHR “94.5 Exa-FM“.
Exa-FM is a multinational network of stations throughout Latin America with stations serving much of Mexico in addition to affiliates in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. It can be heard in many border markets like San Diego, El Paso, and Yuma on Mexican operated stations. The only other US station carrying the programming is 95.1 KRGX Rio Grande City, TX.
Update 6/29: Radio Activo Broadcasting will begin programming 94.5 KXLI on July 1.
Original Report 6/6: Aurora Media has sold “Jelli Rock” 94.5 KXLI Moapa, NV to Radio Activo Broadcasting for $3 Million.
Radio Activo Broadcasting has already placed job postings looking for Spanish speaking air personalities in Southern Nevada so a format change looks likely with the sale.
Aurora Media attempted to sell KXLI on EBay earlier this year. Despite an asking price of $8.95 Million, the winning bid was a mere $305,100.
