Empire Broadcasting has flipped 1240 WPTR Schnectady, NY from Oldies to Sports.
The station, which had been running the “True Oldies Channel” is now utilizing the CBS Sports Radio network feed. The Albany Business Review reports the station will continue to air NASCAR coverage.
WPTR operates with 1kW 24 hours. It joins Townsquare Media’s “ESPN 104.5 The Team” WTMM and Clear Channel’s “Fox Sports 980” WOFX in the Capital Region Sports battle.
