1240 KGY Olympia, WA has brought its programming to FM.
95.3 K237FR Tumwater has signed-on to rebroadcast the News/Talk programming via 96.9 KGY-FM-HD2. The Olympian reports the addition comes as the station has returned to profitability after a series of obstacles for the station.
K237FR is licensed to operate with 125 watts at 96 meters, but has applied to modify that to 145 watts at 91 meters. The translator itself is owned by South Sound Broadcasting and is in the process of being sold to Sunnylands Broadcasting.
