I can’t remember the last time Crawford was the buyer in a transaction. I think this will most likely be a simulcast or almost-simulcast of KBRT. KBRT has historically had good coverage in San Diego with a sizable portion of their audience coming from the county. When KBRT moved off of Santa Catalina Island to the Oak Flat site in the Santa Ana Mountains at the end of 2012, they lost a lot of that audience around San Diego do to the much weaker signal. This addition would help restore much of that.

Agree…gives Crawford more RF in San Diego. Their old 10kw from Avalon beat 50kw from Oak Flat in San Diego and Santa Barbara. With KFMB at 7~Sixty, Crawford needs more umph after moving to the mainland. 12~Forty is the solution – and don’t let the .55k signal surprise you as it gets out pretty well.
