Sinclair Broadcasting is exercising its option to purchase 97.7 KOMO-FM Oakville and 97.7 K249DX Redmond WA from South Sound Broadcasting for $6.75 million. Sinclair and predecessor Fisher Broadcasting have operated KOMO-FM since May 2009 via LMA as a simulcast of News 1000 KOMO Seattle.

Hunt Broadcasting sells AAA “105.9 The Wave” KYSJ Coos Bay OR back to former owner Lighthouse Radio Group for $5,000 and the cancellation of all debts and financial obligations owed by Hunt to Lighthouse for the original purchase and studio and tower rental. Lighthouse, which also owns Christian “98.7 K-Light” KYTT Coos Bay, sold KYSJ to Hunt in 2015 for $135,000. John Hunt took KYSJ silent earlier this month due to his failing health.

Educational Media Foundation is swapping 97.9 KARW Salinas CA to Prunedale Educational Foundation for 89.7 KLVM Prunedale/Salinas and its five translators: 89.1 K206CC Lockwood, 89.5 K208CW Monterey, 91.9 K220BV San Jose, 95.5 K238AH King City, and 105.9 K290CJ Soledad. KLVM will continue to air EMF’s “K-Love” Christian AC network, while KARW will drop Christian CHR “Air 1” and return to commercial operation. EMF acquired then 97.9 KYZZ from Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters in June 2016 for $1.25 million. EMF would later acquire 88.9 KUSP Santa Cruz for $605,000.

Magnum Broadcasting, which owns a cluster of stations in State College PA, is expanding to the Florida Keys with the purchase of Silent 105.7 WGAY Sugarloaf Key/Key West from Jhonson Napoleon’s WGAY LLC for $150,000.

Sister Sherry Lynn Foundation sells 88.7 KFXH Marlow, 90.5 KFXU Chickasha, and 90.7 KFXT Sulphur OK to Houston Christian Broadcasters for $250,000.

Latinos Broadcasting Inc. purchases 97.9 K250BA Slidell/New Orleans LA for $220,000. Latinos intends to rebroadcast an HD subchannel of iHeartMedia’s 104.1 KVDU Houma.
