After three and a half years as Classic Hits “U92” Forever South Communication’s 92.3 WYNU-FM Milan/Jackson TN has returned to Classic Rock.

Now branded as “92.3 The Hog” and new WHHG call letters in place, the move returns Classic Rock to the market for the first time since WYNU-FM dropped its previous “Rock 92.3” identity in April 2014. No on-air staff changes accompanied the flip as the station retains John Boy & Billy in mornings, Jody Austin in middays, and Buzz Blackburn in afternoons.

WYNU-FM had been one of three Classic Hits stations in the Jackson TN market. The format is still served by Gerald Hunt’s “Kool 103.1” WMXX and Grace Broadcasting’s 105.3 WHPP. The new Classic Rock format on WHGG places it between those two stations and Southern Stone Rock “102.3 The Rocket” WZDQ.
