Cox Media Group Washington and Capitol Hill reporter Jaime Dupree has exited the company.
Dupree has covered Washington DC for News/Talk 750 WSB/95.5 WSBB Atlanta for over 30 years and later expanded his coverage to include all of Cox’s News/Talk and television stations. In 2017, Dupree was diagnosed with tongue protrusion dystonia, a neurological condition that robbed him of his ability to speak, but continued to write for the station’s websites and sending soundbytes to the stations. The following year a Scottish company developed a text-to-speech app using old recordings of Dupree to allow him to once again report on-air.
NEWS: After over 30 years of covering Capitol Hill & DC for Cox Radio, I am looking for work.
I had a great run, working with fantastic colleagues at our radio and TV stations. I may not be able to speak, but I can still report. My DM's are open.
