Cumulus Media swapped locations for two of its New Orleans brands earlier this week.
Sports “106.1 The Ticket” has moved from deep rimshot 106.1 WRKN Picayune MS to 106.7 KKND Port Sulpher LA, with Gospel “Heaven 106.7” moving in reverse.
The current iteration of the Sports format launched in March 2024 and currently features Fox Sports Radio programming along with a pair of local shows from 4-7pm daily. The signal boost gives New Orleans its first FM Sports station with city-grade coverage since Coastal Broadcasting of Larose’s “ESPN 100.3” KLRZ flipped to Hip Hop “Streetz 100” last Fall, although Audacy News/Talk 870 WWL/105.3 WWL-FM carries a Sports heavy afternoon show and Infinity Sports Network programming at night.
Cumulus New Orleans does not subscribe to Nielsen for ratings.
