iHeartMedia has promoted Reid Spivey to Program Director of Country 102.5 KNIX Phoenix.
Spivey has served as APD/MD/afternoon host at the station since April 2018 after previously serving as APD/Afternoon Host at Hot AC “Mix 96.9” KMXP and APD of CHR “104.7 Kiss-FM” KZZP from from 2015-18. Spivey began his career as an intern and part-timer at CHR “G105” WDCG Raleigh and later held roles as APD/MD/night host at CHR 97.5 WABB Mobile AL and “Channel 96.1” WHQC Charlotte and then Program Director of “97.3 Kiss-FM” WAEV Savannah GA before arriving in Phoenix.
Spivey takes the day-to-day programming reins from iHeartMedia Phoenix SVP/Programming Mark Medina, who continues to program KMXP and KZZP. Medina commented, “Reid has demonstrated incredible leadership ability, a mastery of programming mechanics, and a true passion for the KNIX brand, he will be fantastic at the helm.”
