Cox Media Group Classic Rock 98.9 WMMO Orlando has added Brandi Britain to its morning show alongside Jay Edwards.
Britain comes to WMMO from Atlanta where she spent eleven years from 2010-21 at “Rock 100.5” WNNX rising from board-op to producer and then co-host of the “Bailey & Southside” morning show. She has spend the past three years as a traffic reporter for iHeart’s Total Traffic & Weather Network.
Edwards originally joined WMMO in March 2023 as afternoon host and moved to mornings at the start of this year. He also hosts middays at sister Country “K92.3” WWKA and was a producer/host at Cox News/Talk 580/107.3 WDBO from 2022-23. He previously spent 25 years at Audacy Hot AC “Mix 105.1” WOMX including 21 years as part of its morning show.
Britain said, “I’m a roller skating and joke-telling radio personality with a distinctive voice and lots of stories. I’m passionate about creating compelling and entertaining radio, connecting with an audience by sharing my personal life and opinions, and making people laugh. I want to be the reason someone says to a friend, ‘Hey, guess what I heard today’.”
Edwards said, “I have never been more excited. Twenty-five plus years on the radio in Orlando and now I get start the next chapter with an incredibly talented and very funny co-host! My mornings just got better and I think Orlando will agree, theirs did too!”
Director of Operations/Program Director Steve Stewart commented, “I’m thrilled to have such a popular talent join our WMMO family. Brandi is going to be loved by our Orlando listeners, just as she was in Atlanta.”
