The Moody Bible Institute has announce that its Moody Radio will nationalize its programming as part of a strategic realignment of its resources to double its reach to 20 million people by 2030.
Moody President Dr. Mark Jobe commented, “While many institutions are struggling financially, Moody remains strong by God’s grace and a longstanding commitment to sound, biblical stewardship. We are debt-free, with healthy reserves and steady revenue. Still, rising costs and evolving ministry demands have led us to take a necessary look at how we operate. After much prayer and careful operational analysis, Moody will enter Fiscal Year 2025-2026 with a balanced budget and is committed to a clear plan to position Moody for long-term health and greater Kingdom impact.”
The organization’s “Moody Radio” will transition from eight regional morning shows to one program with 90.1 WMBI Chicago’s “Karl and Crew” featuring Karl Clauson, Ally Domercant, Diana Berryman, and Jonathan Renke debuting nationally on Monday, June 2. Moody says its goal is to reach 100 million people each week in 10 years.
The shows coming to an end are Moody Radio Florida’s Kurt Goff and Kate Bruington, Moody Radio Cleveland’s Brian Dahlen, Moody Radio South Florida’s Eric and Brigitte, Moody Radio Indiana’s Kelli Thompson and Steve Hocker, Moody Radio Quad Cities’ Seth Mela and Deb Gustafso, Moody Radio Chattanooga’s Tom McElligott and Tabi Upton, and Moody Radio Grand Rapids’ Perry LaHaie and Shawna Beyer.
Dr. Jobe says that the overall strategic realignment will include a reduction of staffing. He said, “his is one of the hardest decisions we have had to make as we seek to steward well the resources the Lord has entrusted to us. These are not just roles—they are valued team members, co-laborers in Christ, and close friends who have served faithfully and we are committed walking with them through this change with care and respect.”
